Francine Czerniawski
Francine is an academic specialist focused on enhancing poultry production efficiency. Her key areas of interest include evaluating alternative ingredients for poultry feed formulations, exploring substitutes for antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs), studying the impact of feeding strategies on meat and egg quality, assessing factors that cause variation in feed ingredients, and optimizing management practices. She also has co-developed and teaches courses such as Introduction to Management of Avian Species and Avian Physiology.
With a strong commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural practices, Dr. Czerniawski (Chern-ee-AH-skee) integrates her knowledge into her teaching, research, and Extension services. Her outreach efforts include developing educational curricula for youth, collaborating closely with industry professionals, poultry producers, and students. She also actively participates in committees and works alongside MSU Extension educators to expand the reach and impact of her work across the poultry industry.
